## Units and freshness
- Domestic gold rates: BDT per gram, with the source publication date.
- 1 vori = 11.664 grams. International gold quotes use USD; preserve the returned gram or ounce unit. 1 troy ounce = 31.1034768 grams.
- Calculate with full precision, then round displayed BDT amounts to the nearest whole taka (1234.96 becomes 1235). Raw JSON rates retain their source precision.
- Check timestamps and cache headers. X-GoldBangla-Cache: stale means last-known information, not a newly confirmed rate.
- Automated clients should send a descriptive User-Agent, such as MyApp/1.0; default library signatures may be rejected by Cloudflare.
- All documented operations are read-only. Calculator totals are estimates; the site does not make purchases or trades.
- GoldBangla is independent of BAJUS. Check original sources and shop invoices before a transaction.
